      # 187 # 187 He may be really good but he is not talented enough to be well... a real talent or a prodigy. Sure hell be famous for the mainstream but his piano playing well... just requires some years of practice and in general ypu just practice all this a lot. Im not sure if this is a aong he wrote for himself or not. If so, respect, if not... well considering he started playing piano at the age of 9 he isnt all that talented. Yesterday for example ive been to a piano concert of a friend and a friend of hers (age: 16 and 17) and they could both play better than him. Im not saying he is not good at all but hes mediocre for how long and how much he says he has been playing. Ah yeah the 17 year old played the Revolutionary Etude by Chopin. Just wanted to add that.

This reminds me how many of the best musicians mentally leave their bodies when they really feel the music. There is a clear moment in the first few bars where you see their exit & it allows the emotion to flow through the music. Where they go is irrelevant to us as the audience but for me it's a beautiful thing to see. Right up there with the major artist that can leave the effects behind for a song or two & just come down to the edge of the stage with just a stool and a stand. Maybe with an instrument.

Yes, Debussy's "Clair de Lune" has that impact on a lot of people - it was one of the first classical pieces I learned as a child. There's a dramatic part that I expected he'd play, but he began to morph the song just before it, and I was drawn in further, and rewarded with the powerful (programmed) vocal moaning and the percussive accents he added. He was mesmerizing to hear and watch. What a brilliant performance! 🎹 🎵

People are so uncomfortable with quiet and peaceful. When he first started the audience seemed restless.
Seems like if it's not loud, rude, and filthy they don't know how to receive it; then people wonder why they have high blood pressure and can't relax.
Listening to loud, word-filled music all the time is not good. Quietness helps to restore the soul.
