guys, just because they like something, doesn't mean they want fuck it... WTH? i love moe, i love kids in anime, i found cute things are cute... but doesn't mean i want to have sex with it... so does character in series... so i don't understant how some series/character in series oftenly got this insult when it has nothing to do with it as long you are the one that not make it so. Edit 1: Red_Keys said: "Moe has nothing to do with sexuality! I just love cute things!" >show with cute boys instead of cute girls "Man wtf is this gay fujoshi shit wtf I'm not gay dropped 1/10 what the fuck" thank you from bringing bromance to the tabble as well... i kinda reluctant to bring this to the tabble since i am not really fans of it.. i don't understand how everyone screeming "GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYY" when it's just your usual relationship, and this is ironicaly also has really strong base... much stronger than moe haters.... and it's kinda annoying nowdays how every close guys relationship suddenly jumped to the "GAAAAYYYY" hatred.... i just recently re-read nijiiro days btw.. and comment like this is pretty common especially in early chapter... Edit 2: look like some people still misunderstood my thread even my first post already stated it really clear... looks like anime discussion on mal already too sensitive with lolicon, pedophile and wierd weebos and fanbase stigma... |

Ok I am seeing the problem and raising it... It seems like again we are talking about ethics in anime.Thing is fetishes are good examples of enigma. They can apply to rl or not.You like moe or let's say you are lolicon but you don't want to fuck them irl.Well ok there is nothing wrong there. It's an enigma. Some people want to fuck them too. Thing is you can't tell the difference. For us you are watching a moe anime.A pedo is doing that too.So unless you know him/her you can't determine what he/she wants to do. That's why there is no ethics while watching something. You should stop triggering when someone say something about that.Because we are in internet.Anybody can says something to others. After reading INT 101 we can talk again. |

Kuma said: demonskul777 said: just because i love sexual joke, and rape fetish, doesn't mean i rape people when making joke about it...Because people are overtly sexual? It's really not just anime. like listen to people talking, 80% of the conversations have at least one sexual joke in them. My point is just that people relate everything with sex and that it's something that's on their mind often; the sexual joke thing was just an example of how people will convert any and all subject into something sexual. People who don't understand the appeal of moe, only ever get to hear "how cute" moe is. To them watching something cute for the warm and fluttery feeling means as much as watching something something sexy to jerk off to. So in a pretence of understanding the reason - sex, they assume - they are in turn disgusted by the very concept of jerking of to kids and/or want to degrade those who watch it by calling them pedophiles (to also make themselves look like the more mature/better party, although that's part of the definition of degrading i guess). They are supported by the "making fun of people on the internet is fun" mindset and so don't stand still to think about the actual reason that people like moe anime. The anime in turn, though, also adds small amounts of fanservice and "erotic" scenarios (just some sexual jokes, generally), which helps the bullies - for lack of a better word - provide "evidence" of the pedophilia, making them unbudgeable in their mindset/vision. This all is also kinda thanks to the inability of some people for seperating cartoons and real life, at least in sexual sense. When people love anime lolis, they'll assume this is also their taste in rl women leading to the conclusion that lolicons are pedophiles (which I mean, is the meaning of the word lolicon, but I know that in anime context this just refers to cartoon lolis, so that's why I kinda ignore the synonimity). or as I said "people are overtly sexual". Neither of us wanted me to write this long-ass explanation of what I meant. I didn't mean to say that you take sexual jokes seriously, although I do ask you to refrain from making rape/incest/pedophilia jokes around victims of sexual abuse, as it might summon bad memories. |

People are really insecure about their sexuality and don't know how to handle it. It's especially common if you're a guy. We've been bombarded with the idea that guy's sexual intent is always hostile, so if a guy likes something HE MUST BE EVIL. |

I've always wondered this too. It's funny when someone says that they like a slice of life anime with no sexual content, and then they are accused of being a pedophile for looking at underaged girls. THEY are the ones making the connection between underaged girls and sexuality. I guess all parents should be blindfolded when they are around their kids. |

THEY are the ones making the connection between underaged girls and sexuality. I guess all parents should be blindfolded when they are around their kids. Exactly. The ones who have a problem here are the one who make a connection naturally between liking a little girl as a character and sexuality, not those who simply like the character in question. First and foremost the first thing as an adult that should come to mind toward a child is parental type of affection. For example "this little girl/boy is so cute " is perfectly acceptable as cute here has no relation with sexual attraction. Yet some peoples with serious problems cannot make a difference with finding a young woman in his neighbourhood cute and wanting to date her. So thinking first sexually about a character, and a top of this about a child, is seriously weird~. Who in his right mind can confuse "favourite characters " with "potential sexual partner that I'd like to date". Well contrary to what is said in this thread I'd say that this kind of stupid confusion isn't that frequent. Because sex is one of the most basic and primal instincts. If someone isn't sophisticated enough, then they can't escape from it's shackes, making them see almost everything as sexual. This is why you shouldn't be mad at people like that, you should pity them. Because for them, sexual desire is something that completely defines their personality. pls bite muh bait |

This video is relevant I would say. Pedophilia is a legitimate issue, and pedophiles should be given mental treatment or given a life sentence in prison (or whatever other punishment you think is appropiate) if they actually molest/rape a child, but this legitimate issue has been blown up into a witch hunt by the general public and fearmongering news media. It's all Mamster's fault. But yeah, on the one hand associations like that make it easier to judge other people, and judging people is something the human mind enjoys a lot. On the other hand I can't blame them because when you spend some time on MAL and read posts you can't help but notice how many people talk about nothing else. There are no favorite characters, only waifus and best girls and the amount of people who are very vocal about it and constantly look at anime from the singular perspective of who's the hottest girl and which show has the best fanservice is not to be underestimated. It IS the acceptable way to see and talk about things in the context of anime after all. Many people are into anime because it panders to their (suppressed) sexuality and let it out all in the anonymity of the internet where they Now naturally people who are more or less only into anime because of that and talk about nothing else often lack the imagination to see that others feel differently about the medium and just assume that to some degree everyone is into anime because of that. Because anime is mostly bad aside from the fanservice, amirite? So they just don't understand. But I'm sure there are also more silent types who just see how many people are like that in the community (the 'perverts' tend to be very vocal after all because of how established that perspective is) and just feel like it's safe to assume that any random user is like that too because chances are, that they are. I'm sure there's also part 'Am I the only who... (doesn't like lolis only sexually)' playing into this. Peoples natural tendency to not assume others have the same 'virtues' that they see in themselves. One more thing I'd like to mention is that it's not black and white, you don't have to like lolis either sexually or just out of some cutesy or parental instinct. I've never made a secret out of being a lolicon and fapping to a lot of doujins with horny lolis and whatnot but it doesn't mean I see every loli sexually. Most lolis in normal anime I don't see that way at all and I don't even read the porn doujins for series like for example Non Non Biyori because it makes me feel uncomfortable to think of these characters that way. They're just kids and show no signs of sexuality in the show and I like them that way. The difference between kids like that and the doujin lolis I fap to are like day and night and I keep them seperated in my mind. Their appeal is not the same at all. |
I probably regret this post by now. |
